The Twins!

Welcome to The Southern Twins! We are so glad you are here. Anne and I grew up in a southern family where tradition runs deep. As little girls we were lucky to grow up on a pretty  farm in Kentucky where  we had a huge garden, tons of cattle, horses and lots of love.

Our mother always had something amazing cooking. Well, of course she did! In case you didn’t know, our mother is The Southern Lady Cooks. We grew up eating her delicious garlic cheese grits, cornbread muffins, Jam cake and candies. When my mom would surprise us on Saturday mornings and make her Buttermilk Pancakes, it was the best day ever. Honestly, my Mom lives about 40 minutes from our farm and if she called me and said “Girls, I am making pancakes,” I would be there in 35 minutes! 🙂 Anne and I were also extremely lucky to have a grandmother that was EVERYTHING Southern. She was a true Southerner from Mississippi and was very proud of her roots. She was the epitome of Southern Hospitality and I can honestly say some of the best memories of my life were in her kitchen. She was as graceful and kind as anyone I have ever met and she could cook anything and do it perfectly. So, here at The Southern Twins you will learn about us, our family, our recipes, our every day life and all things southern. I hope you enjoy the ride!
